Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (HEIDELBERG) has introduced a future plan for its Wiesloch-Walldorf site to enhance competitiveness and support its growth strategy. The agreement, developed in partnership with the Works Council and IG Metall, includes a socially responsible reduction of approximately 450 jobs over the next three years while guaranteeing a minimum workforce of 3,500 employees until the end of 2028.

The plan aims to reduce personnel costs by over €100 million and ensures continued investment in future technologies, infrastructure upgrades, and training programs. CEO Jürgen Otto emphasized, “This future plan establishes a foundation for growth, enabling us to balance cost reductions with critical investments and maintaining our role as an innovation leader.”

With projected sales growth of more than €300 million by 2028, HEIDELBERG is focusing on strategic expansions in digital printing, packaging, automation, and global markets, particularly in Asia. The Wiesloch-Walldorf site will remain a key hub for future technologies under the company’s growth strategy.
