Made for Recycling seal for DMK Group

The scientific evaluation method Made for Recycling from the environmental service provider Interseroh now also proves the good recyclability of a packaging that has recently been used by its customer, the DMK Group. The bags of the new grated cheese products MILRAM PizzaLiebe and MILRAM AuflaufLiebe, which have been on sale since March, received 18 out of 20 possible points and thus secured the seal of approval for recyclability. Interseroh developed the underlying audit standard together with the bifa environmental institute; it was finally checked by the Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging IVV.

Good recyclability is of the utmost importance for a functioning material cycle, says Markus Müller-Drexel, Managing Director of INTERSEROH Dienstleistungs GmbH. We can only exploit the full potential of the circular economy if the waste that is separated from the citizens at home is also optimally recyclable. The ‘Made for Recycling’ service sets fixed standards for companies in the development of packaging and creates orientation for consumers who consciously want to make their purchases climate-friendly and resource-saving.
