SOMA announces the establishment of SOMA Italy

SOMA has announced the launch of SOMA Italy, reinforcing its commitment to providing localized service and expertise in the flexographic printing sector. This move follows a record-breaking year of sales and new contracts, marking a major milestone in the company’s expansion strategy.

Leading SOMA Italy as CEO is Moreno Melegatti, who brings five years of experience from SOMA’s headquarters. His leadership will be instrumental in driving growth and strengthening customer relationships in Italy. Additionally, Michele Fazzini has been appointed to lead the SOMA Italy Service Team, leveraging his extensive expertise in flexo press service engineering to enhance support for local customers.

Looking ahead, SOMA is also preparing to launch the SOMA Esperienza Center, an advanced technology hub dedicated to sustainable flexographic printing solutions. Set to open in July 2025, the center will showcase innovative developments, including the Optima² flexo press with its Intelligent Printing Unit (IPU). This cutting-edge technology enables single-pass application of functional or barrier coatings, improving efficiency while reducing environmental impact.
