Schattdecor Launches Environmentally-Friendly PML 11 Coating Line, Boosting Production Capabilities

Schattdecor, Inc., a notable name in the world of interior-decoration material printing and converting, has successfully initiated the operation of their new PML 11 coating line, housed in their Lexington, SC facility. The line, specifically engineered and constructed by SAM (Sung An Machinery Co., Ltd.), has been custom designed for the manufacturing of thermoplastic foils and pre-impregnated décor papers. Its capabilities span a range of weights from 30 to 120 gsm, and it can handle widths as large as 1,570 mm.

The unique design and the nearly infinite adaptability of the line have been significant points of emphasis, but there has also been a particular focus on ensuring its operations are environmentally friendly and sustainable.

Martin Reil, the project manager at Schattdecor, elucidates that after an extensive evaluation of multiple machine vendors, they selected SAM to provide the line. SAM’s professional approach during the entirety of the project was commendable and underscored their position as a top-tier global supplier of coating machinery.
