Nordmeccanica Delivers PowerMet 29 Ngen Metallizer to GulfPack

Nordmeccanica has announced the sale of a PowerMet 29 Ngen metallizer to Gulf Packaging Industries Co. (GulfPack) of Saudi Arabia, a major producer of BOPP and CPP films. The investment marks GulfPack’s first Nordmeccanica machine, expanding its metallization capabilities for BOPP film processing.

The PowerMet 29 Ngen features a high-performance evaporation system for fast coating speeds, a robust vacuum system for stable production, and a web speed of up to 18 m/s. Its ergonomic design simplifies roll changes, cleaning, and maintenance.

Additional features include a precise winding system, a chill drum cooled to –20 °C, and Nordmeccanica’s Ex.ce.l gas treatment and plasma surface technology, ensuring uniform aluminum coating with high productivity.

This investment highlights GulfPack’s strategic expansion in BOPP film production and its commitment to modern metallization technologies that enhance efficiency and process stability.
