Heartwood Partners has exited its investment in M&Q Holdings following the sale of M&Q Packaging, marking its second exit of 2025. This transaction, alongside the earlier sale of Outlook Group, completes the firm’s divestment from M&Q Holdings.

M&Q Packaging is a leading provider of high-temperature resistant thermoplastic packaging for the protein, foodservice, and specialty sectors. Under Heartwood Partners’ ownership, the company expanded its capabilities through key acquisitions, including FlavorSeal and Zoop, and invested in proprietary technology and talent.

CEO John Wurzburger credited Heartwood Partners for enabling growth through strategic investment and a collaborative, low-leverage approach. Co-founder Mark Allsteadt praised the successful partnership and expressed confidence in M&Q’s future.

Raymond James advised on the transaction, with legal support from Finn Dixon & Herling LLP.
