CEFLEX Names New Leadership Team Ahead of 2026 Transition

November 19, 2025 Off By Sebastian Reisig

CEFLEX has appointed a new three-member leadership team as founder and project coordinator Graham Houlder moves toward retirement. Effective 1 January 2026, the initiative will be led by Arne Jost, Mike Jefferson, and Liz Morrish.

Jost, currently with Henkel, will oversee policy and external affairs. Jefferson will head circular economy implementation, focusing on EPR, recycling, sorting, and collection. Morrish will manage operations and continue leading technical work on packaging design and end markets.

Houlder said the 2025–2030 period will be “the most critical” for implementing the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation and achieving real circularity.

Earlier this year, a CEFLEX–Ghent University study highlighted major challenges in scaling delamination, deinking, dissolution, and contaminant-removal technologies to meet 2030 recycling targets. Meanwhile, industry developments continue, including Lecta’s launch of its Creaset GP PFAS-Free flexible packaging paper, designed to meet rising regulatory and consumer demands for safer materials.
