Amcor has opened a new coating facility in Selangor, Malaysia, expanding its healthcare packaging operations in the Asia-Pacific region.

The plant is the first in APAC to use air knife coating technology, which applies coatings with high-speed air for improved consistency and reduced material waste. It also features water-based coatings and online inspection systems to support quality and sustainability.

By consolidating operations in Selangor, Amcor aims to improve lead times and supply chain flexibility for regional customers. The investment is part of a broader strategy that includes recent expansions in China, India, and Singapore.

The facility supports growing demand for sterile, high-performance healthcare packaging in the region.
