Epsilon Composite Acquires Italian Partner Cometec S.r.l.

French carbon fiber specialist Epsilon Composite has acquired its long-time Italian partner Cometec S.r.l., a manufacturer of technical carbon fiber sleeves based in Busto Arsizio near Milan.

Cometec will continue to operate independently while becoming part of Epsilon’s international structure. The move aims to strengthen synergies, expand their joint market presence, and enhance service and supply chain efficiency for machinery manufacturers across Europe and globally.

This marks Epsilon Composite’s first external growth initiative, fully self-financed following its 2024 capital increase that brought Sumitomo Corporation of Japan on board as a minority shareholder. The two companies have maintained a close industrial and commercial partnership for nearly 35 years. Lucia Sarasini will remain as managing director of Cometec to ensure operational continuity until her planned retirement.
