Mavigrafica Expands Capacity with Second FLEXCEL NX Ultra Investment
October 1, 2025Italian flexo prepress specialist Mavigrafica has installed a FLEXCEL NX Ultra 42 solution from Miraclon at its new facility in Florence, doubling its capacity for water-washable flexographic plates.
The move follows the company’s first installation of a FLEXCEL NX Ultra 35 system in Milan just 18 months ago — the first solvent- and VOC-free plate production line in Italy. With six FLEXCEL NX systems now in operation, Mavigrafica continues to strengthen its position as a key packaging design and prepress player in the Italian market.
Founder Maurizio Vitale emphasized that sustainability is central to the company’s vision, noting that customers increasingly demand environmentally friendly solutions. The NX Ultra technology eliminates solvents while delivering the same print quality and consistency as traditional plates, with the added benefit of water-wash processing.
