Macro and adapa Group Strengthen Partnership with New Shrink Film Technology
October 1, 2025Macro Engineering & Technology has announced the installation of two advanced 9-layer Quadex™ shrink film lines at adapa Germany’s Kempten site, expanding the European packaging group’s production capabilities.
The new lines will enable adapa to supply customers with high-performance shrink packaging, currently using PvdC and with EVOH options in the future. Markus Stephan, Managing Director of adapa Germany Kempten, said the decision was driven by the equipment’s ease of operation and strong after-sales support from Macro.
Dr. Karen Xiao, VP of Technology at Macro, highlighted the companies’ 25-year collaboration in PvdC shrink film and welcomed the addition of EVOH technology to adapa’s portfolio.
