Hubergroup Launches Food-Safe Water-Based Inks for Direct Packaging Contact

Hubergroup has introduced Hydro-X Contact, a new line of water-based inks and varnishes safe for direct food contact, including interior packaging surfaces. Designed for flexographic printing, the system integrates easily into existing press setups and supports vibrant design, sustainability, and recyclability.

The inks help replace plastic barriers in some paper-based packaging, simplifying structures while maintaining protection against grease, moisture, and oxygen.
