Compact Performance in Chile
June 11, 2025In a move to strengthen its position in the circular economy, Chilean recycling and waste management company RECUPAC S.A. has installed an INTAREMA® 1512 TVEplus® DuaFil® Compact recycling system from Austrian manufacturer EREMA. The machine, known for its high energy efficiency and automation, is now producing premium-quality recycled pellets suitable for film production and other packaging applications.
RECUPAC, the waste management division of the Chilean packaging group Coipsa, processes over 150,000 tons of material annually. While plastics recycling is a new venture for the company, General Manager Philippe Morizon says the decision to invest in EREMA technology was based on strict customer quality requirements and a need for efficient, automated solutions.
“Our customers have very high quality specifications, which is why we chose EREMA,” Morizon explained. “This compact machine not only delivers excellent pellet quality but also helps us lower energy consumption and reduce the need for manual labor thanks to its high level of automation.”
The installation at RECUPAC is part of a broader market shift. Since K 2022, EREMA has sold more than 20 units of the INTAREMA® TVEplus® DuaFil® Compact worldwide, with several already in operation.
In addition to its EREMA equipment, RECUPAC also operates a Lindner washing system. In August 2023, EREMA and Lindner established a joint holding company aimed at improving recyclate quality and boosting energy efficiency through technical collaboration.
As RECUPAC continues to scale its plastics recycling capabilities, the company’s investment signals a growing commitment across Latin America to adopt advanced recycling technologies and meet evolving sustainability standards in the packaging industry.
