Wipak UK Machinery Installation is Largest of its Kind

Wipak UK’s recently announced multi-million-pound strategic investment in state-of-the-art conversion equipment is set to be the largest of its kind in the UK, according to one of the machinery suppliers. Italy-based Nordmeccanica Group, the biggest manufacturer of coating and laminating machinery for flexible packaging, industrial and pharmaceutical applications, will supply Wipak UK with a combi laminator that will significantly enhance its capabilities and sustainable packaging product offering thanks to the availability of different coating heads and to the high efficiency of its unique oven design, which is modular and customisable. “The combi laminator will be the first of its kind in the UK and one of the largest installations in the country,” said Vincenzo Cerciello, Vice-President at Nordmeccanica. “From a strategic point of view, the installation project is really important to us.
