Indian packaging materials company UFLEX is investing $110 million in a polyester resin manufacturing plant in Egypt’s Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone). The facility, with a capacity of 30,000 tonnes per month, will be built in two phases and is expected to create over 700 jobs. The plant aims to serve both the domestic market and export to Middle Eastern countries. This investment is part of a broader trend of Chinese and Indian manufacturers establishing a presence in Egypt’s special economic zones.
