TLMI announces that the association has recently released two DIY Hiring Toolkits as a new workforce resource for association members. The newly completed Hiring Toolkits are for conventional and digital press operators and members can directly access the Toolkits on tlmi.com within the Workforce Development section of the Engage portal. The Press Operator Toolkits are the first in a series of Toolkits the association will be releasing and are available at a minimal cost to TLMI members.

The Toolkits include sample job descriptions and job postings, ideal candidate profiles and interview questions specific to the job postings. In the TLMI Engage portal, members will also have access to the DIY Hiring Toolkit Template. The Template is a free resource and is a starter kit that prepares companies for the specific information collected within each Toolkit. The Template includes a sample employment application, tips for successful interviewing techniques, an interview scoring template, a sample offer letter, sample confidentiality agreement and a four week development plan. Members can also access an assessment benchmark in Engage to compare their candidates to the ideal candidate profile. TLMI worked closely with the association’s human resources partner firm, Affinity HR Group, in putting together the Toolkits and all associated materials.

Jessica Johnson, TLMI’s Program Director, comments, “The Toolkits are a great resource for our converter and supplier members in their efforts to hire and on-board new personnel. They contain everything from behavioral interview questions to applications to a structure that helps companies integrate new employees for the first four weeks. For the newly released press operator modules we go deeply into the specific responsibilities the jobs entail and the precise behavioral profiles of these roles to ensure new hires will be successful. We will be rolling out new Toolkits for different job functions over the course of the next year including sales, customer service and other operational and production-floor functions. We are excited to be offering these Toolkits as the association continues to prioritize workforce development initiatives and resources that address our members’ growing concerns surrounding hiring and retaining talent.”
