The internationally active manufacturer of cutting-dies for the packaging industry, Marbach, has added a new blanking tool to its product range. The alublanker is, as its name suggests, made of aluminum and completely CNC-milled. One of the first customers to use the alublanker is Marbach’s long-standing partner MPS in Obersulm – a company of the Consumer Packaging Business of the WestRock Group. The Obersulm site produces highquality folding cartons for the international perfume and cosmetics industry. Eugen Schneider, Die-Cutting Manager at WestRock Obersulm: “We produced the first order with the new alublanker from Marbach. The performance achieved with it has fully convinced our machine operators. The alublanker is very precise, very light and can be easily set-up by just one operator. Despite its low weight, it is solid and the passage of the waste grid has also been very stable. We will definitely continue to use the new alublanker in the future.” The Marbach alublanker is completely made of one piece and produced in one milling operation. The design in aluminum and the associated low weight means optimized handling of the female blanking tools. The one-man operation saves time and personnel costs. In addition, the high precision of the alublanker ensures perfect stacking, reduced set-up times, high packaging quality with no marks at all, as well as high machine speeds. For smooth production processes and maximum performance in the blanking station.
