Texen acquires PRP Creation’s “flexible packaging” business

February 6, 2022 Off By Sebastian Reisig

For its part, PRP Creation wishes to refocus its development axes, and Texen also serves through this acquisition, its mission of sustainable development and its innovation at the service of consumers.
Texen has made it his mission to transform matter into experience in a virtuous way. Its ambition is to play a major role in the eco-transition of the cosmetic packaging sector. The group has therefore been interested in the development of flexible distribution systems (bellows and bellows/doypack pockets). Rich in perspectives on various segments (makeup, skincare, perfume…), this industrial technology meets the new demand of the consumer:

• Choose a high-performance packaging that reduces waste (high restitution rate) and limits the presence of preservatives (airless airtightness).

• Increase the useful life of a package thanks to pockets as refill solutions.

• Reduce the raw material part of the packaging

• Recycle your cosmetic packaging (PP/PE monomaterial for example)

A connection that makes sense

In this context, Texen and PRP Creation have become closer together, resulting in Texen taking over the flexible packaging business of PRP Creation on February 1, 2022. In line with its eco-responsible commitments, the breadcrumb thread of its 2025 strategy, this new value offer complements and reinforces Texen’s multiple initiatives (virtuous materials, responsible designs and sustainable decoration) for all of its Texen customers worldwide, with a tailor-made and standard offer. It will benefit from Texen’s expertise in terms of R&D and operational excellence.

We are delighted to welcome this new offer and the committed employees who have developed it. The combination of our various know-how, as well as our global presence represents an important acceleration factor for this value proposition and its many ecodesign challenges,” comments Remi Weidenmann, CEO of Texen.
