North American Sigma Plastics Group has added four S:Gran 125 NGR high-output recycling lines to four separate plants in Pompano Beach Spartanburg, Jacksonville, and Nashville at a cost of nearly $3 million.

The manufacturer of extruded polyethylene products confirmed the deal with NGR prior to the NPE plastics convention in Orlando last week. The NGR machines will be used to reprocess 4 million pounds (1,800 tonnes) per month of film scrap from Sigma Plastics’ in-house film production, according to a company representative. It will be used to produce new film.

Sigma Plastics and Austria-based NGR have had a long-standing relationship in the industry. This latest deal comes after NGR delivered its 1,000th plastics recycling machine to Sigma Plastics at its plant in New Jersey late last year.
