Due to growing demand, packaging and speciality paper manufacturer Sappi Europe is expanding production of its successful Parade Label Pro label paper to include higher grammages. Sappi is also expanding production of the premium paper from its Gratkorn mill in Austria to include its Alfeld mill in Germany – so ensuring greater security of supply to customers.

  • Parade Label Pro now includes higher grammages: 100, 110 and 120 g/m2
  • Production expanded to Alfeld mill: including higher capacities in 80 and 90 g/m2 in reel format
  • Parade Label Pro replaces Sappi’s Parade Label A and G
  • Greater security for customers in production, supply and delivery

In mid-2021, as a result of increasing demand for high-quality label papers, Sappi broadened its product portfolio of non-wet strength wet-glue label papers with the introduction of Parade Label Pro. The premium paper is ideal for a wide variety of applications, such as labels for bottles, tins and jars, as well as for flexible packaging applications such as food, snack and confectionery wrappers.

It is thanks to growing demand for this flagship product that Sappi is announcing this range extension. Specifically, production previously limited to the Austrian Gratkorn mill and 80 and 90 g/m2 grammages in reel and sheet formats has been expanded to Sappi’s German Alfeld mill to produce the higher 100, 110 and 120 g/m2 grammages. The Alfeld mill will also produce Parade Label Pro in 80 and 90 g/m2 grammages in reel format – so helping to focus sheet format expertise at the company’s Gratkorn mill.
