Citing improved production times and flexibility, along with excellent customer service, Sade Ofsethas installed a Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+ to improve profitability and deliver better value for customers.

“The enhanced technology provided by Screen brings unparalleled capabilities in terms of label production,” states Murat Demir, Managing Director, Sade Ofset. “The Truepress L350UV+ has really impressed us with its high capacity and production speed for borderless and variable data printing.”

The Screen UV inkjet press represents Sade Ofset’s first digital printer investment. Established in 1974, Sade Ofset produces self-adhesive single layer and multi-page industrial labels. Most jobs are short- to medium-run, between 1,000 and 10,000 pieces. With a portfolio of UV flexo and B1 and B2 sheetfed offset printers, Sade worked with Elektroser (Screen’s Turkish reseller) for robust consultation on the move to digital.

Demir continues, “From the start Screen and Elektroser have fully supported us with rapid service and accurate information. They went above and beyond, proving to be a real solution partner.”

Since installing the press, Sade Offset has improved margins whilst delivering better value for customers according to Demir, “We believe inkjet technology represents the most efficient solution for inkjet printing. Nowadays no customer wants to work with high levels of stock, so we work based on delivering ‘just-in-time’. The fast start times, excellent uptime of the easy-to-operate Truepress Jet350UV+ has provided fantastic production efficiency, so we can meet that need with much less pressure on our margins. Another benefit for our customers is the wide range of substrates, with the integrated chiller we can even print on thermal paper, so our customers still get that choice.”

Öncü Güyer, General Manager, Elektroser, adds “Label producers in Turkey often focus on variable costs like ink or plates, but it’s important to look beyond to overall costs as Mr Demir and his team have done. Once we showed the Sade Ofset team the comparison of overall production costs between a press with 90 percent uptime capacity and other digital presses, the choice was clear! We offer a system that requires minimum maintenance and is characterised by very low downtime providing the user an uptime of more than 90% for a very economic cost per label which is the state-of-art technology. And still offers a wide range of substrates. The key is production efficiency.”
