PrimeBlade appoints Dr Bartek Kaplan head of R&D

Bartek will be in charge of R&D, with focus on further developing our production facilities and developments of new doctor blade products, to further optimize the doctor blade performances for our customers.

Bartek is part of the PrimeBlade Team since November the 2^nd.

About Dr. Bartek Kaplan
Over the years, I have gained experience as a researcher, salesman and leader in the fields of metallurgy and manufacturing. I hold a PhD degree in computational materials science and I am well-versed in the necessary experimental techniques. My education and my industrial background have provided me with a deep understanding of materials on all length scales, from properties on the atomic scale, to macro-scale components and their performance. I have extensive hands-on experience and expertise from product, process and materials development in the manufacturing industry, including additive manufacturing. My former roles include Senior R&D Engineer and R&D Manager at Sandvik Coromant, as well as Application Engineer for Additive Manufacturing at Linde Gas AB. My academic merits also include regularly held lectures at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, as well as supervision of MSc and PhD students.
