Parkside and Yockenthwaite Collaborate to Develop Sustainable Packaging for Granola Range

British flexible packaging company, Parkside, has partnered with breakfast cereal producer, Yockenthwaite Farm, to create new sustainable packaging for Yockenthwaite’s granola range. The packaging utilizes Parkside’s flexible material, Park2Nature, which provides high-barrier qualities, protecting the granola from moisture and oxygen throughout the supply chain. Yockenthwaite’s original packaging, consisting of a polypropylene bag and paper label, has been replaced by a new bag-in-a-box format. The collaboration between the two companies has resulted in a sustainable pack with improved shelf life. Parkside’s home-compostable packaging material has been certified by TÜV and breaks down in both domestic and industrial composting facilities. The partnership represents a successful combination of sustainability and performance in packaging solutions. Additionally, Parkside recently launched a range of sustainable lidding films to address packaging challenges in the UK.
