Packaging machinery sales grow 9 times more than Italian GDP

The turnover generated by the manufacturers of automatic packaging machines is a further 9.4% increase and reaches 7.85 billion euros. 

One of the most dynamic sectors of Made in Italy is confirmed by the Italian manufacturers of automatic packaging and packaging machines.

First in terms of share of total export of capital goods (24.4%), it is made up of 631 companies located mainly along the Via Emilia axis, from Milan to Rimini, with production districts also in Piedmont, Veneto, Tuscany.

A sector that by technological level and market control is competing for world leadership with Germany, generating a quarter of world machine exports.

A sector that does not know the minus sign and that ended 2018 with a total turnover of 7.85 billion euros, up 9.4% on the previous year.
