Marbach supports tobacco group in supplier qualificationApril 29, 2020
The internationally operating die-making company Marbach is known for it’s service and consulting competence. JTI US Holdings based in Miami, Florida, a subsidiary of Japan Tobacco International, one of the world’s largest tobacco companies produces well-known brands including Winston and Camel cigarettes, is very pleased with Marbach America’s team, based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Fernando Pires, Chief Operating Officer of Marbach America: “JTI had asked us for our assistance. We should support the qualification of the prospective JTI supplier Padilla based in the Dominican Republic. Our task was to help qualify Padilla in effort to secure orders from JTI. In the course of intensive support for the project and in close consultation with JTI and Padilla, we succeeded in training Padilla quickly and efficiently and prepared them optimally for the new challenges.” Padilla, a leading packaging manufacturer in the Caribbean, was approached by JTI to produce cigarette packaging that meets the tobacco company’s high standards and strict specifications in terms of packaging quality, performance speed and security features. It was also required to get Padilla qualified in a very quick timeframe to be ready for the start up of new packaging lines at the JTI factory.
