LMI Packaging Partners with APR to Install MacDermid Flexo Plates and SupplySentry RFID Inventory Management System

All Printing Resources (APR) helped to upgrade the CDI system, supply MacDermid flexo plates and install a RFID Inventory Management system at LMI Packaging in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.

LMI produces complex lidding applications and have recently begun to print other pressure-sensitive formats. They turned to APR as they were seeking a closer partnership with a plate supplier who would offer the technical service that they needed. APR’s in-house knowledge on the Esko product line were critical points in selecting their plate partner.

According to Christine Busch, Creative Services Manager, LMI, “It just seemed like whenever we were in need of something, APR was there — and they still continue to be here when we need it. They’re so knowledgeable in so many areas.”

APR also installed a SupplySentry RFID Inventory Management system which helps LMI track everything the creative services department uses including papers, plate materials, towels, stickybacks, doctor blades, tapes and even ink for desktop printers. Busch adds, “Before installing APR’s SupplySentry, we always had somebody ordering materials but didn’t know when the last box of a certain material was gone. APR is always on top of these orders now. It’s really nice having somebody looking after us in that way.”
