Lic Packaging chooses HP Pagewide C500 press
May 23, 2018Bresica based LIC Packaging, an Italian industrial packaging solutions provider, is installing an HP PageWide C500 post-print digital press in June to meet increasing demand from brands for short runs, shorter turnaround times and creative marketing campaigns. The addition of the press follows a recent installation of the HP Scitex 15500 for high-value display production.
“The HP PageWide C500 press enables us to offer our customers new packaging solutions including brand marketing campaigns,” says Piero Bertoldo, Director at LIC Packaging. “Thanks to its water-based inks, the HP PageWide C500 will enable us to digitally print food-safe packaging as well.”
The HP PageWide C500 delivers offset quality direct-to-board for a broad range of applications from basic to premium boxes. With mainstream productivity on both coated and uncoated papers, this high-performance press also provides a cost-effective digital alternative for offset lamination and flexo production. With greater media versatility, the PageWide C500 manages board thickness from F flute to BC double-wall flutes. The press employs HP’s patented Thermal Inkjet technology, designed for best-in-class print quality at production speed. With 1200 dpi resolution and one million nozzles, the C500 Press is designed to produce offset quality in demanding production environments. The press prints 75 linear m/min (246 linear b/min) at top print quality.
