LANDER BINDING AND FINISHING EXPANDS INTO FOLDING CARTON PRODUCTION WITH THE PPCTS DGM SMARTFOLD 1100SL CLASSIC FOLDER GLUER

Lander binding and finishing, Brentwood, MO has expanded their folding carton production capabilities with the addition of a DGM SMARTFOLD 1100SL CLASSIC Folder Gluer from PPC Technologies & Solutions LLC (PPCTS). The SMARTFOLD 1100SL CLASSIC with backfolding capability, was recently installed and put into production, giving Lander the ability to produce a large variety of structures that include straight line, autobottom/crashlock and 4&6 corner cartons.
The SMARTFOLD 1100SL CLASSIC, initially introduced in the North American market by PPCTS in 2014, is a great solution for commercial printers and folding carton converters looking for a dependable and productive folding carton folder gluer with advanced capabilities and modern technologies.
With an operator friendly design, some of the additional features and options include motorized carriers, job memory recall, independently adjustable crushing rollers after the final folding section, integrated blank ejection located in the trombone section and squaring in the compression section infeed.
The electrical/electronics design is based on non-proprietary “off the shelf” PLC and components which are housed in cleanly organized and air-conditioned cabinets for easy machine servicing, remote diagnostics capabilities, handheld operator wireless control and dual operator pivoting touch screens.
