In 2018, KOLBUS initiated another drastic transformation with the sale of its perfect binder and book production division. KOLBUS continues to actively shape change and drive towards future success with the motto “We are far more than our past”. The company is now focussed on specialised machines and systems for packaging production, on casemaking machines and rotary die cutting, together with a busy contract casting and manufacturing division. Visible signs of this change include a new logo and the new corporate branding, underlined by the claim Excellence in Motion, which will be the KOLBUS mission from now on. “Excellence in Motion exactly expresses what KOLBUS has stood for in the past, still stands for today and will continue to stand for in the future. CEO Wilfried Kröger adds: “The first highlight we are launching as part of our change of focus is our newly developed flexoprint rotary die cutter, the KOLBUS RD 115S. It has been engineered specifically to enable our customers to grow with their requirements. The modular design of the RD 115S makes for a high level of flexibility within a single line, with the option of one or up to eight print units plus module for die cutting corrugated cardboard sheets.”  Despite all the changes, it is always good to be able to rely on a few constants.
