Koehler Innovation & Technology Unveils New Recycling Lab for Development of Sustainable Paper-Based Solutions

Koehler Innovation & Technology, a division of the Koehler Group, has launched a new recycling laboratory for the research and development of sustainable, circular paper-based solutions. The new lab, equipped with a Somerville fiber fractionator, allows the application of the latest evaluation methods from the European paper industry association, Cepi, and the Paper Technical Foundation, PTS. This facilitates easier and quicker assessment of product concepts concerning their circularity and recyclability. Dr. Markus Wildberger, Head of Technology at Koehler Innovation & Technology, commented that this addition logically complements their development process, ensuring the circularity of their products. Moreover, Koehler is part of the cross-industry alliance, 4evergreen, which promotes synergies among companies committed to carbon-neutral, circular fiber-based packaging.
