KAMPF successfull at TOP 100 award

For the 25th time, the TOP 100 competition selected the most innovative midsized companies in Germany. Among these innovation leaders this year is Kampf Schneid- und Wickeltechnik GmbH & Co. KG. This was the result of an analysis by the scientific director of TOP 100, Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke. As mentor of TOP 100, Ranga Yogeshwar honors the Wiehl-based company together with Franke and compamedia at the award ceremony in Ludwigsburg on June 29, 2018 as part of the 5. Deutschen Mittelstands-Summit. In the independent selection process, the company was particularly convincing in the categories “climate of innovation” and “innovation success”.

For almost 100 years Kampf Schneid- und Wickeltechnik GmbH & Co. KG develops machines for the production and processing of all kinds of foils and films. The company with headquarters in Wiehl is one of the world’s leading suppliers in this market. The customer base of the top innovator is correspondingly international: 3,500 companies worldwide benefit from KAMPF’s know-how. To supply them, the company maintains several locations in Germany, China, India as well as USA and employs almost 700 people worldwide, around 500 of them in Germany.

“In our industry the innovation cycles are getting shorter and shorter. Standing still means a step backwards,” says managing director Lutz Busch. This is why, the TOP 100-company encourages the creativity of its employees and their willingness to break new ground. In the context of regular idea transfer events, current development topics are presented and discussed. The employees contribute their own topics and suggestions for solutions to these open discussion rounds. The most recent example of Wiehler’s innovative strength is the integrative software platform “the @vanced”, which enables to monitor the production process in real time – per example easy and convenient via smartphone. KAMPF is thus setting the course for Industry 4.0 and once again positioning itself as a pioneer in its demanding industry.
