Hartland, WI-based ITW Pillar Technologies today confirmed it is donating N95 respiratory masks to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. ITW Pillar is a makerof corona and plasma surface-treatment systems as well as induction-sealing systems for the packaging, converting and printing marketplace.

Froedtert Hospital is among many hospitals in Wisconsin on the front lines of the COVID-9 pandemic which is in need of donations of PPE and healthcare supplies for staff, patients and visitors. In addition to the N95 respirator and ear-loop surgical masks, Froedtert has been in need of eye protection, including goggles and safety glasses, and personal-sized hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.

“If you have any of the above supplies and are willing to donate them to our health network, you’d be playing a major part in helping our community and health care workers stay healthy and preventing the further spread of the virus,” Froedtert’s website says.

Because of the immediate need for additional personal protection equipment (PPE), Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin also recently teamed up to establish a Rapid Response Fund to support critical healthcare needs to navigate the outbreak of the coronavirus in the greater Milwaukee area. This fund will provide comprehensive supportive services for healthcare providers and their families.

ITW Pillar Technologies Business Unit Manager Rory Wolf says, “Protecting our healthcare professionals is more than essential. They’re out there on the front lines of this pandemic and they need our support. When we heard about the hospital mask shortages, we immediately knew that we needed to do something to help protect the people who protect all of us. We feel incredibly fortunate to be in a position to donate these masks to Froedtert Hospital.”
