Heidelberg UK announces the opening of Heidelberg Graphic Equipment Ireland, its new subsidiary in Ireland. Building on the success of its existing Irish business, this significantly enhances Heidelberg’s presence and demonstrates the Group’s firm commitment to the market, its customers and print companies in Ireland.

Post COVID and post the Brexit flux, surveys suggest that the economy of Ireland will recover rapidly, the Ibec (employers’ lobby group) even suggesting that the Republic’s resilient economy will be among the best-performing in the western world this year with GDP growth of 0.8 per cent, before accelerating to export-driven growth of 5.3 per cent in 2021.

The subsidiary therefore comes at the right time and will enable Heidelberg to continue to compete for new business in Ireland and to have a better control of its business activities in the post-Brexit, post-COVID market.

Customers of Heidelberg in Ireland will benefit from closer access to the best of Heidelberg solutions, service and consumables to suit their needs. Heidelberg UK will continue to provide the support of its highly skilled professionals along with cost effective near-shore and offshore delivery capability. As experts in planning, implementing and managing solutions across a vast portfolio, the company promises customers in Ireland that they will continue to receive a world class experience, which is a valuable enabler for customers to reach their goals.

Ryan Miles, Managing Director of Heidelberg UK, says, “We are opening a new chapter in the success story of Heidelberg in Ireland. In its chosen markets our Irish business has shown continuous growth. This growth has been achieved by a highly customer-focussed team providing a market-leading product and service offering. By setting up this subsidiary, we intend to grow our Irish business further and to see it thrive as an integral part of the Heidelberg family.”
