Heidelberg Hybrid Press has arrived at Zenith

With investment made across our divisions, Zenith has now made a unique investment in the Speedmaster XL 106-5+LX3 Hybrid Press. This B1 five colour litho press with coater configuration will handle both UV and conventional inks which will allow both Print & Packaging and Media to utilise this state-of-the-art revolutionary press.

It also arrives with Inpress Control for automatic inline colour integrity and register adjustment and Autoplate Pro changing. There are distinct wash ups for both UV and conventional which our highly experienced pressroom operators will be able to switch between the two, without manual intervention freeing up valuable time and expanding capacity to what we can output.

Managing Director, John Mooney says: “We anticipate a split of 75-25% between conventional and UV packaging work on this press and an output of up to 40 million sheets a year.

“We have great confidence in the speed of set up between jobs and the ability to switch quickly and efficiently between different printing applications and different substrates. What has really impressed us has been Heidelberg’s knowledge of consumables, the extensive testing they do to ensure compatibility with their equipment. This is critical when you are running two processes on the same press.”
