Green Bay Packaging selects Voith

Green Bay Packaging Inc. has selected Voith to supply a full line of equipment for its new paper mill in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The new mill, showcasing cutting edge technology, will be operational in 2021.

With this new asset, we will significantly increase our production capacity, while enhancing our quality product that better serves the needs of our customers,” said Bryan Hollenbach, Executive Vice President of Green Bay Packaging.

The 300” trim, 100% recycled paper machine with a design speed of over 3,900 FPM will utilize old corrugated containers and mixed waste for the fiber supply to produce linerboard and corrugated medium.

“The innovative technology Voith will be implementing in this new full-line machine is vital for Green Bay Packaging to remain responsive to increasing consumer needs and expectations. We will work closely with Voith to begin training our existing workforce to effectively run this state-of-the-art system. Our goal is to safely execute this project with an industry-leading startup curve.” added Matt Szymanski, Vice President of Mill Operations.

Green Bay Packaging Inc. plans to break ground on construction of its new Green Bay Mill by early Fall 2018.
