With effect from 1 January 2020, Follmann has acquired the Russian adhesive manufacturer Chemical Alliance based in Moscow with about 20 employees. After the acquisition of the British adhesive manufacturer Sealock (PSA hot melts, hot melts and dispersions) and the take-over of the majority shares of the Russian adhesive manufacturer ZAO Intermelt (hot melt adhesives for the packaging industry) in 2018, Follmann is expanding its adhesive production in the Russian Federation with polyurethane hot melt products with this acquisition. The company is thus expanding its international sales activities in various market segments, such as textile lamination, sandwich and panel production, the production of filters, abrasives and mattresses as well as in the automotive industry.

“The acquisition of Chemical Alliance is a further consistent step within our growth strategy in adhesives, which will further strengthen our position in the market and our international presence,” explains Dr. Joern Kuester, Managing Director of Follmann GmbH & Co. KG. “We are pleased to be able to meet the expectations and requirements of our customers and partners even better with this expansion of our business activities and its resulting opportunities.”
