Flexible packaging converter closed down by administrators

Administrators have closed down Vision Gelpack in Hereford, with the loss of 50 jobs.

However, despite substantial investment, the business remained loss-making, and no buyer could be found. Administrators did confirm that negotiations are on-going with a third party over the acquisition of certain assets, including orders.

Vision Gelpack was mainly involved with the production of thin-gauge bags, sacks, and liners for a range of sectors. The site in Hereford has been involved with polyethylene extrusion since 1962.
