The early bird deadline is Thursday, August 29 for AICC’s seminar, Best Practices for Corrugator and Maintenance Operations, to be held Wednesday, October 9- Thursday, October 10 at the Green Bay Packaging De Pere Division in De Pere, WI and at BW Papersystems’ Four Seasons Learning and Manufacturing Facility in Phillips, WI.

Attendees will see everything from the process for optimal splicing at the wet end to the methods of consistent stack quality at the dry end at Green Bay Packaging in De Pere, WI. Controls for temperature, adhesive, steam, and air use will receive special focus.

This seminar will teach best practices for operations of the corrugator in use and to learn how to best maintain the machine.

At the BW Papersystems Corrugator Headquarters in Phillips, WI, in their Four Seasons Learning and Manufacturing Facility, attendees can observe and explore the hows and whys of maintenance including machine alignment, vibration control, and tooling calibration. This training is a distinct opportunity because the manufactured components are not yet in production.

During the seminar operation and maintenance experts will emphasize the prevention of problems and breakdowns by establishing a series of daily checks and observations to maintain an environment of continuous improvement. Each participant will return to his or her facility with a plan to improve daily operations and maintenance.

This seminar will be taught by many of the most experienced corrugator specialists at BW Papersystems including, Steve Nerney, Installation & Training Leader, Brett Bergstrom, Training Specialist, Steve Daniel, Senior Site Leader for Field Service, and John Podmolik, Field Training Specialist. Dr. Scott Ellis of Working Well will ensure that participants build standard operating procedures (SOPs) for fast application in their own plants.
