KAMPF is pro-actively transforming the digital world. The technological developments are rapid. They are changing the way we inform ourselves, how we communicate, how we consume. KAMPF wants to seize new opportunities, face transformation openly and courageously and exploit potentials to create new solutions for the digital future together with partners, customers and above all with highly qualified employees.
At the ICE, KAMPF will present “Transformation” within the framework of the following main topics:

  1. The new ConSlitter – design and performance
  2. the@vanced – the integrative platform
  3. KAMPF Lifecycle Service – “smart services”
  4. LIB Competence
Presenting the digital future of slitting and winding technology: the new KAMPF ConSlitter CTRU
  5. Design and performance
The ICE 2019 offers Kampf Schneid- und Wickeltechnik GmbH & Co. KG the ideal platform to surprise numerous visitors of the converter industry with a novelty. The KAMPF ConSlitter CTRU presents itself to the expert audience in a modern, completely new design. The expansion and further development of the components of the proven KAMPF classic model Conslit, now also offers the advantages of modern dual turret technology: reduction of downtimes, especially when processing small batch sizes, as well as increased production throughput. The dual turret slitter offers simplified machine operation, optimum accessibility and integrated safety, combined with a completely new design and color concept. The intuitive KAMPF-2-touch operation is a part of the striking industrial design as well as the newly designed work areas or the future-oriented handling and digitization solutions. Behind the new design of the ConSlitter is a state-of-the-art Siemens control system combined with precise drive technology. When developing the ConSlitter, KAMPF rethought the subject of safety and created an intelligent, unique lighting concept. This communicates the current status of the machine in each case by means of a situationally changing color illumination, which can be detected in the direct machine area and environment as well from a distance. Newly designed and fully integrated safety devices round off the concept. The users of the new ConSlitter will be able to make a clear statement to their end customers – and of course to their competitors.

For KAMPF, the topic of “digitization” has been at the top of the corporate strategy agenda for many years. With two new specialist departments, “Automation” and “Industry 4.0”, the company has positioned itself well to develop future-oriented solutions. KAMPF actively shapes the transformation process into the digital future and received the TOP 100 Award for its innovation management last year. The mechanical engineering company offers the market not only machines, but also comprehensive production solutions. Visitors to the ICE will therefore experience the ConSlitter CTRU slitting machine as a networked production system: equipped with the integrative platform the@vanced and the possible integration of modular automation concepts. For optimum use of the ConSlitter, KAMPF offers coordinated automation within and around the machine, e.g. roll marking systems, palletizing and packaging units and others. Another ICE topic is the new digital services based on the digital platform the@vanced: installation instructions, documentation and maintenance assistants are available anytime and anywhere. The spare parts are quickly identifiable and easy to order. the@vanced networks KAMPF machines and their integrated sensors and additional components and communicates with production planning and control systems as well as with external software platforms. the@vanced offers users digital added value based on three pillars: Smart Production Smart Maintanance and Smarter Operation. All pillars offer optimization tools through life production evaluation, production display, convenient dashboards and online maintenance videos – they are the basis for big data applications, artificial intelligence, predictive maintenance and machine learning.

With the products of Kampf LifeCycle Services for efficiency, availability and value retention, KAMPF offers a comprehensive package that accompanies the entire life cycle of the machines. This includes commissioning, on-site service, 24/7 online consulting via combat service portal, maintenance packages, spare parts services and much more. In addition, the KAMPF Academy offers certified tailor-made training courses on topics such as machine setting and operation/HMI, TIA and S7, maintenance and servicing, specific process engineering and cutting technology.

Lithium-ion batteries (LIB) dominate the market for rechargeable energy storage. Their production process is highly demanding. Particularly with regard to the safety properties and the lifespan of the cells, development must be driven forward. As a pacemaker in this innovation process, KAMPF together with Kampf LSF forms a center of competence with many years of experience in the production and processing of anode and cathode materials and battery separator films and will show the latest developments for this market.
