Comexi has closed its participation in the Upakovka trade fair with new commercial successes resulting from the more than one hundred visits received at its booth, as well as the closing of trade agreements. With 25.000 visitors and 950 exhibitors from 32 different countries, Upakovka was an excellent venue for Comexi to meet with its customers, partners and potential customers from Russia and its neighbouring countries.
“This trade fair is the starting point of the new year for the flexible packaging sector in Russia”, highlights Alexander Rabassa, Comexi Area Manager in this region. “Without a doubt, Upakovka is the ideal scenario to close projects that we worked on last year, and to start talking about future opportunities for 2019 or 2020, or to make first contacts with new potential clients”.
The group showed its wide range of technological solutions for the flexible packaging market at its booth FOF45, which became a meeting point to talk about the latest market trends and exchange views with the customers. “The feeling is that we consolidate the family relationship with our customers in this area, since at our stand they feel at home. Really, for us it is a very rewarding experience”, says Rabassa.
Upakovka opened its doors on January 29th at the AO Expocenter in Krasnaja Presnja, Moscow. From the first day, Comexi received an important volume of visits, from historical clients and other potential customers who were interested in the group’s innovative solutions for the different processes of the flexible packaging conversion industry. “We have received more visits than we had planned before starting the trade fair. We have made many new contacts and have seen that Comexi is located as one of the preferred suppliers for Russian customers”, explains Alexander Rabassa.
During the show, Comexi provided information about its entire portfolio of flexible packaging machinery. Several customers asked for information about the laminating, coating and slitting solutions of the group, such us Comexi ML2 or Comexi S1 DT. “We have attended to more than 20 requests for proposals from potential customers interested in our laminators and slitters”, emphasizes Kristina Trèmols, a sales assistant in this region. Attendees were also able to discover Comexi Cloud, the most cutting-edge digital platform of the converting sector, and the Comexi Ordering On Line (COOL) service, the new platform for the online sale of spare parts, as well as receive information about two courses taught this year in Russian at the Manel Xifra Boada Technology Center, Comexi CTec: Troubleshooting and Standardization, and Advanced Flexographic Printing Sessions.
The next appointment for Comexi in Russia will be in June with the 24th edition of RosUpack, the largest trade fair for the packaging industry in Russia and Eastern Europe. Dedicated to the full range of packaging process and other products and types of packaging for different industries, RosUpack will be held in Moscow from June 18 until June 21, with the assistance of 500 companies from 33 countries and an average of 18.800 visitors from 53 countries and 78 regions of Russia.
