BST eltromat International, a leading manufacturer of quality assurance systems, will exhibit for the first time at RosUpack (June 18-21, 2019) in Moscow. The company, headquartered in Germany, will use the largest packaging and label exhibition in Eastern Europe to present itself and its solutions to visitors from Russia and neighboring countries. Products for 100% inspection and web monitoring will be shown at its booth B255 in hall 14. In addition, visitors will be able to find out more about the products and services offered by BST eltromat in the areas of web guiding, register control, color measurement and management, as well as workflow and automation.

100% inspection and web monitoring for perfect printing results

The iPQ-Check, the iPQ-Center’s module for 100% inspection, is one of the highlights at the German company’s booth in Moscow. iPQ, which stands for increasing Productivity & Quality, includes four modules and meets the highest quality assurance requirements in the narrow and wide web market. In addition to iPQ-Check, the iPQ-Center also includes iPQ-View for web monitoring, iPQ-Spectral for spectral inline color measurement and iPQ-Workflow, which links the other modules in a comprehensive quality assurance process.

The high-speed image acquisition of iPQ-Check’s high-performance color line scan cameras enables machine operators to monitor the print quality without interruption. iPQ-Check can be used with up to four 3-chip line scan cameras to cover web widths of up to 2.90 m with high-resolution print inspection. This system allows BST eltromat customers to reduce their waste and ensure that they meet the quality requirements of their customers. In addition, iPQ-Check is quick to set up thanks to its ease of use and is easy for machine operators to operate via an intuitive menu structure with gesture control.

The TubeScan Digital Strobe 4k from BST eltromat’s partner Nyquist Systems can also be seen at RosUpack. This system for 100% inspection and web monitoring of narrow webs is equipped with innovative German-made 4k camera technology. This makes it the world’s first 100% inspection system on a hybrid basis with a 4k resolution to generate 100% image reproduction. Thus, TubeScan Digital Strobe 4k has a 4k resolution, which has been common in line scan cameras for years, and therefore meets the usual requirements of high-quality print and surface inspection. With this option, a uniform resolution of 0.1 mm can be achieved in the standard width range from 330 mm to 430 mm in the narrow web market.

Finally, BST eltromat will show its entry-level POWERScope 5000 model for web monitoring at the exhibition. This modular system offers consistently high image quality. The electronic and wear-free zoom delivers excellent images of the printed webs while the high-power LED strobe ensures even illumination of the webs with constant intensity. This allows machine operators to recognize printing irregularities reliably and quickly. The compact design of the camera unit means that the space required is minimal. The system also features an innovative operating concept with intuitive gesture control. The user interface is reduced to the key functions for the printers, making it very clear and simple to operate. Another feature is the back strobe for the control of the back register. Equipped with LED units, this strobe is dimmable. This means that less light can be used for thin materials and more light can be used with thick substrates. The design allows for homogeneous illumination of the web even in the case of larger areas. Pin-sharp image is a further function that allows the image resolution to be increased even more without influencing the zoom value.
