The family company Thermo-Pack in Gaildorf (Schwäbisch Hall district) will no longer produce standard films in the future. As a result, around 140 employees lose their jobs.

Gaildorf – Thermo-Pack stops the production of classic standard films in Gaildorf (Schwäbisch Hall district) and wants to concentrate on applications in the pharmaceutical industry in the future. The classic standard films are due to expire at the end of October, causing around 140 employees to lose their jobs. As the company reports, the plant has been under increasing competitive pressure for several years. We have reached a point where we no longer see any perspective, said Bernd Hansen, owner of the family-owned company Thermo-Pack Kunststoff-Folien GmbH and president of the international Rommelag group.

Upon request, the 140 employees will be transferred to a transfer company and supported in the search for a new job. 30 to 40 employees remain at the site. If possible, the trainees should be offered a training position within the Rommelag group.
